Mission Statement The Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce, as the voice of business, leads, promotes and develops opportunities for our members and community.  

History of Organization

In 1920, when the business people of the community formed the Greater Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce, Woodrow Wilson was the President of the United States and Casa Grande had a population of 948. The Chamber was officially incorporated on December 7, 1935 when the nation was being ravaged by the Great Depression and business was in a slump, Franklin D. Roosevelt was the newly elected President and Paul Stein Sr., was mayor of Casa Grande. Through the enormous changes that have occurred in Casa Grande in the 90 years since the chamber was formed, during times of economic prosperity and times of economic hardship, the chamber has had a leadership position in helping to create a strong, local economy, promoted doing business locally and has advocated economic growth through its partnerships with other community-building entities. Its committees and task forces ensure that chamber members will be informed about public policy issues that may impact them and/or the business community. In addition, the chamber is a valuable informational and referral resource and provides many promotional avenues for area businesses through its publications; its website that receives more than 2,000,000 hits per year and through the other numerous networking and marketing opportunities. This business plan is the Chamber’s guide to business expansion and development and maps out the Chamber’s direction in enhancing the local economy and the quality-of-life in the Casa Grande area.
